The Gardiner Museum of Ceramic Art is the only museum in Canada entirely devoted to ceramics. It was founded in 1984 by Toronto philanthropists George and Helen Gardiner to house their outstanding ceramics collection and has often been described as a "jewel box" of ceramic treasures.
