TPI is a not-for-profit post-secondary education institution operating under a Letters Patent of the Government of Ontario and offering quality professional education to students from all countries. Formerly known as the Canadian Centre for Executive Learning, the Institute has provided technology and management training to thousands of corporate executives and government officials from developed countries.
TPI offers a range of quality professional programs at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels in five disciplinary areas – Business Administration, Economics and Finance, Information Technology, Media and Communications, and Digital Art Design. These well-designed diploma programs help students become versatile and adaptable, which are essential attributes at a time when careers are no longer clear-cut or simply defined. As a result of exposure to a cross-disciplinary curriculum, TPI graduates are widely recognized by employers for their high level generic and professional skills, their willingness to assume responsibility, and their commitment to lifelong learning.
TPI is staffed with highly educated and experienced teachers. Each instructor brings a rigorous approach to teaching and learning. All have at least a Master’s degree in the disciplines they teach, while some hold PhD degrees. The full-time academic staff are complemented by a large contingent of part-time lecturers and tutors drawn from industry and the professions.
TPI features state-of-the-art facilities to enhance learning, which include computer laboratories, art design studios, high-speed internet services, and media art design equipment and software.
TPI offers international students an array of English as a Second Language courses to enhance their listening and speaking skills, and academic reading and writing skills. Business communication English courses are also provided to help graduates succeed in the labour market. All English courses at TPI are taught by first-class teachers with native English proficiency and teaching licenses. All international students are tested in accordance with the criteria of our Canadian English Benchmark Examinations and then streamed into appropriate class levels. Students learn and progress in an intensive, situational, English-learning environment.
